Life in the Grey

I begin with, that photo is very smart and has a certain something - a simple and yet eye-catcher. Despite its simplicity carries the message. I recall the inevitability of death and at the same time a struggle for survival - a small tree, even though he knows that he must die fighting for every month, day, hour of life.
The colors of tree are very vivid, fresh almost palpable. However distracts attention from him a little dull colour of background. I would have turned this image in black&white with only colour accent, which would be just a tree. That will be perfect.
